3Delight for Katana

OSL Shaders

1.1.0 - 2018-9-24
Fixed a performance issue in OpenVDB rendering. Scene with relatively large amount of textures (hundreds of megabytes) will have an acceleration between x2 and x3
  • Added a modified License Agreement to each package.
  • Automated texture optimization is now handled directly by 3Delight (see see Handling of Textures) and offers better error reporting.Fixed timing statistics in relation to the "other" category.
  • UDIMs render about 8% faster.
  • Fixed 3Delight Cloud issues when rendering large frames (4K) and may AOVs. The problem was sudden "jamming" of the application during rendering.
  • Fixed rendering of VDB volumes on 3Delight Cloud when renders are started from a Windows platform.

  • Fixed non-deterministic renders. Using different number of threads was not producing exactly the same image.
  • Fixed 3Delight Cloud issues when rendering large frames (4K) and may AOVs.
  • Info

Free 3DelightNSI now allows you to run many renders from the same process. Meaning that you can use, for example, Maya VP2 rendering in parallel with a normal render from the same Maya session. If you have Katana and Maya open, you can only have one render going at the time.

3Delight Display

  •  A stable progress indicator for Syncing stage when using 3Delight Cloud.
