3Delight for Softimage comes as a standard Softimage add-on and is thus installable as any other add-on: simply drag-and-drop the uncompressed package onto the Softimage window.
If you are using the free license, that is all you have to do and you can start using 3Delight for Softimage right away. You do not need a license key and you do not need to install and run the license server.
On the other hand, if you have purchase one or more licenses, you have to obtain and install a license key and start the license server. This is explained in details in the License Server Guide.
