Installing the free version
To use the free version of 3Delight for Maya:
- Download the free 3Delight Studio Pro package;
- Run the installer;
- Load the plug-in.
That's it! The free version does not require any licence.
Installing the paid version
To use the non-free version of 3Delight for Maya:
- Download the non-free 3Delight Studio Pro package;
- Run the installer;
- Determine your host ID, then request and install your license;
- Load the plug-in.
The free version of the package will not work with a license.
Advanced configuration options are explained in the 3delight.config File.
Information about the supported environment variables is available here. This can be useful for custom 3Delight Studio Pro installations, but is not generally recommended as it can easily lead to a non-working 3Delight installation and is harder to debug.

*the oldest Maya version supported on macOS is 2016.5.
